CERVICAL LIPOPLASTY

Cervical adiposity limits facial beauty. Adipose accumulation in this region is associated with weight gain, genetics, and natural aging. In that study 29 patients were treated over a six-year period. The mean age was 45 years, with the majority of patients being predominantly female. The method used was lipoplasty using thin cannulas coupled to a syringe, and with a pneumatic vibrolipo aspirator. The results were evaluated through photos within sixth month follow-up. Complications were minimal.Temporary scarring fibrosis in the midline of the submentum was the most predominant. The revision rate was low, 3 cases, 9.66 %.
