The authors report the case of a 63-year-old patient with HIV who did not adhere to treatment and with a personal history of use of dipyrone a few days before looking for medical treatment, hospitalized for traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage, who presented with Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) during hospitalization and died due to infectious complications of the condition. TEN can be of pharmacological, infectious or tumor etiology and may have a mortality rate of more than 30% of cases. This work aims to present this disease, which requires early diagnosis and treatment, aiming to reduce infectious complications and reduce the unfavorable outcome of patients who develop it.
