Abstract

Congenital palpebral ptosis by muscular or neural deficiency may occur isolated or as systemic conditions manifestation; can be sporadic or genetic inheritance by several mechanisms; affects x % of the pediatric population, can cause amblyopia, and in the final analysis, vision loss in variable degrees, been its prevention related to no delay in timing to treat accordingly. The differential diagnosis is prominent and may reveal important details that may change conducts, as well systemic conditions before unknown. Patients diagnosis, classification, follow up, surgical treatment and results evaluation demand a sequency of systematic medical acts, specialized literature based, producing measurable data prompt to analysis and, if so, protocol modifications to improve attendance. We revised the medical literature and defined this  HIJG Plastic Surgery team protocol on congenital palpebral ptosis conducts.
