POSTOPERATIVE PAIN IN COSTAL REMODELING SURGERY: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW

Introdução: a cirurgia de remodelamento costal tem se tornado uma alternativa estética popular, mas a dor pós-operatória permanece como uma complicação relevante. A compreensão de sua incidência, características e tratamento ainda é limitada na literatura. Metodologia: foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura nas bases PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, SciELO e LILACS, utilizando os descritores “rib”, “remodeling” e “pain”. Foram incluídos cinco artigos, considerando a dor como desfecho primário em pacientes submetidos à cirurgia de remodelamento costal. Resultados: Entre os pacientes analisados, 24 (3,13%) apresentaram dor aguda no pós-operatório, 1 (0,13%) desenvolveu dor crônica persistente e 2 (0,26%) foram diagnosticados com dor neuropática. A maioria dos sintomas teve resolução espontânea em até 6 meses. Estudos com técnicas minimamente invasivas ou guiadas por imagem relataram baixíssima incidência de dor significativa.Conclusão: a dor pós-operatória é uma complicação comum, com impacto significativo na recuperação e na qualidade de vida do paciente. Estratégias como analgesia multimodal e bloqueios regionais são eficazes, mas faltam estudos controlados voltados especificamente para o manejo da dor crônica nesse contexto cirúrgico.
