AVALIAÇAO DOS RESULTADOS DA FALA NUMA POPULAÇAO DE PACIENTES COM FENDA LABIOPALATINA CORRELACIONADA COM A CLASSIFICAÇAO DE VEAU, TECNICA DE REPARO CIRURGICO E IDADE DO PACIENTE

Objetivo: Avaliar as diferenças nos resultados da fala entre técnicas de reconstrução palatina e correlacioná-los com o tipo de fenda e com a idade dos pacientes no momento da cirurgia. Métodos: Estudo retrospectivo com pacientes não sindrômicos submetidos a correção de fenda palatina no hospital dos autores entre 2010 e 2020. Foram incluídos casos com pelo menos 4 anos de seguimento com registros audiovisuais. A coorte foi dividida em dois grupos etários: 1 a 2 anos e acima de 2 anos de idade. Avaliações padronizadas de fala e nasofaringoscopias avaliaram a presença de insuficiência velofaríngea (IVF). Resultados: Dos 481 pacientes avaliados, 323 foram incluídos. Destes, 172 foram submetidos à palatoplastia com a técnica de Bardach, 47 foram tratados à von Langenbeck, 78 por Veau-Wardill-Killner e 26 pela técnica de dupla zetaplastia. As taxas de IVF foram semelhantes. Pacientes operados com menos de 2 anos tiveram melhores resultados da fala. Conclusão: A fala apresentou melhores resultados quando a cirurgia ocorreu antes dos 2 anos, especialmente com a técnica cirúrgica adequada ao tipo de fenda.
