RELAÇÃO ENTRE APARÊNCIA VULVAR E LIBIDO FEMININA

Buscou-se avaliar a associação entre a aparência vulvar e a libido feminina em pacientes atendidas em duas clínicas privadas do sul catarinense. Foram coletados 97 questionários de pacientes ginecológicas maiores de 18 anos por meio de instrumento elaborado pelas pesquisadoras, contendo dados epidemiológicos e questões sobre aparência física, estética vulvar, libido e sexualidade. Foram excluídos 35 questionários (36.1%) por preenchimento incompleto ou inconsistente em pelo menos um dos itens necessários à análise, resultando em amostra final de 62 mulheres. A média de idade foi de 32.65 anos; 53.2% eram casadas e 62.9% tinham ensino superior completo. A maioria estava satisfeita com a aparência da vulva, enquanto 19.4% estavam insatisfeitas. Não foi identificada associação estatisticamente significativa entre satisfação com a aparência vulvar e os indicadores de libido ou qualidade da relação sexual. Entretanto, a insatisfação vulvar associou-se à crença de que procedimentos estéticos poderiam melhorar a aparência genital e a satisfação sexual (p < 0.001). Os achados devem ser interpretados como exploratórios, considerando o uso de instrumento não validado e o tamanho reduzido da amostra.
