Abstract

Introduction: Traumatic etiology’s auricular deformities represent a highly complex topic as it encompasses advanced techniques in auricular reconstruction surgery. Objective: To present a series of cases to describe the different surgical approaches and techniques for traumatic ear reconstruction, without costal cartilage graft. Method: A literature review was conducted from a series of observational and descriptive cases from post-traumatic auricular reconstruction with the information obtained from the medical records. The patients were treated by the Plastic Surgery Department of the HC - UFTM. Results: The use of cartilage and techniques such as the skin flap leads to aesthetically and functionally satisfactory results. Conclusion: The surgeon's knowledge leads to the adequacy of relatively simple and reproducible techniques, providing satisfactory results.
