OTOPLASTY – A SUGGESTION OF SYSTEMATIZATION OF TECHNIQUES
Keywords:
Osteotomy, Rhinoplasty, AsimmetryAbstract
Prominent ears are the most frequent deformity of congenital auricular anomalies, affecting approximately 5% of the Brazilian population. The techniques for its correction have had many variations over time. Several authors have contributed very successfully to this evolution, however the rate of complications demonstrated in the literature is still at levels that deserve attention. With this objective in mind, we bring this systematization of techniques, with the aim of reducing adverse postoperative outcomes and providing greater patient comfort and satisfaction.
